Thursday Night Football Recap Week 15

The Thursday night game for Week 15 of the NFL took the nation to Jacksonville, Florida, where the Indianapolis Colts were facing the question: go for the 16-0, or relax and go into the playoffs satisfied with home-field advantage through the AFC Playoffs. The answer was made very clear.

Indianapolis 35, Jacksonville 31- The Colts do it again. Peyton Manning went 23-30 for 308 yards and four touchdowns including a 65-yard pass to Reggie Wayne to put the Colts up for good, and extend their NFL-record regular season winning streak to 23 games. The win was also the Colts’ sixth come from behind victory in a game that featured many lead changes and plenty of offense. David Garrard went 23-40 for 223 yards and three touchdowns, Maurice Jones-Drew had 27 carries for 110 yards and two touchdowns (1 rush, 1 rec.). The Jags had a shot to take back the lead, but Garrard overthrew Mike Thomas and was intercepted by Jacob Lacey. The loss was damaging for the Jaguars, as they now trail the Dolphins by essentially 1 1/2 games, since the Dolphins beat them at home. Losing three of the past four games since being in control of the wild card at 6-4 is not boosting to the morale at all. On the other side, with the Jets and a trip to Buffalo left on the schedule, it can be shown, on paper, that the Colts are going to end the season 16-0. Colts (14-0), Jaguars (7-7)
